Entertainment industry was going release a biopic of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the elections. But, Election Commission has put the ban on biopic before a day of it is going to release, on Wednesday. EC put the full sop on film saying that any such content that subserved any political entity or person should not be allowed to release on electronic media.
As the first phase is going to start on Thursday, Supreme Court has rejected the plea of Congress submitted to ban on biopic movie of Narendra Modi saying that Election Commission is right place to lodge the file.
It said even if the film is released on April 11, as claimed by the Congress activist, it would be appropriate for him to seek a redressal from the Election Commission.
Congress’s petition lodged to ban also demand for the postponement of biopic till the completion of Lok Sabha election, as Congress say it is designed to manipulate people’s mind to vote him.
