Ludhiana – Today was the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019, but in Punjab elections going to be held on 19th May, still there is one month pending for the same. But both parties Congress and SAD yet to announce their candidates for seats of Ferozepur and Bathinda. However, SAD leadership still arranging the meeting with party workers to finalise it. But on the other side, Congress candidates are yet to be start their campaign for the seats.
SAD Chief Sukhbir Badal and his wife Union Minsiter Harsimrat Badal both are regularly holding meeting with workers for these two constituencies. Evenmore, SAD party workers and constituencies chief are also holding the meeting with party worker to politically motivating them. Former Minister Bikram Singh Majithia is not less than them as he is concentrating on Bathinda.
Former Malout MLA Harpreet Singh, general secretary of the SAD, said, “We are regularly visiting villages and towns to mobilise workers. There isn’t much time left and it will be tough to tour the entire area in a short period. Further, a majority of people in villages will be busy in wheat harvesting. We are simply telling them to vote for the party.”
According to the information of senior SAD leader party will announce the name of candidates on April 24.
Whereas, AAP announced Harjinder Singh Kaka from Ferozpur and Prof Bajinder Kaur from Bathinda. Punjab Democratic Alliance has announced Sukhpal Singh Khaira from Bathinda and Hans Raj Golden from Ferozpur as their candidates.
