An indian naval officer died, when fire broke out onboard of aircraft carrier INS Vikramadtiya, on Friday. It is India’s only aircraft carrier catches the fire, when it is entering the harbor in Karnataka Karwar, which is home of navy located in south of Goa.
According to the spokesperson of navy said the naval officer Lt. Cdr DS Chauhan was fighting with the fire broken on board in the affected apartment of ship. Officer become unconscious when officer fighting with fire that was creating fumes and smoke. But died at Karwar Naval Hospital ONHS Patanjali.
“The fire was brought under control by the ship’s crew in a swift action, preventing any serious damage to the carrier’s combat capability,” the official said. The Navy has ordered a Board of Inquiry into the incident.
