New Zealand company sued for providing fake likes of Instagram

New Delhi  – On Thursday, Facebook has sued a NewZealand’s company with three others for selling the fake Instagram likes and views. Facebook director of platform enforcement and litigation Jessica Romero said in a blog post that Company was providing the service of bolstering the bogus followers, views and likes to raise the profile.

Romero, while describing the lawsuit also said to protect the integrity of our platform, that kind of bogus activity can not be tolerated on our platform. But he did not identify the company or individuals’ names in complaint filed by Romero. Such activity violates terms of service at Facebook-owned Instagram.

“We previously suspended accounts associated with the defendants and formally warned them in writing that they were in violation of our terms of use; however, their activity persisted,” Romero said. Facebook along with other social media have been under pressure to prevent scattering of misleading information.
