Cricket star Gautam Gambhir, who join the Bhartya JA party recently, holds the political rally without any permission and EC direct the Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against him, according to news agency ANI reported. Poll panel has asked the East Delhi Constituency’s Returning Officer to Lodge a case against BJP’s candidate Gautam who has been candidate from East Delhi.
“We have received a complaint from the election commission on Friday against Gautam Gambhir for conducting a meeting on Thursday in Lajpat Nagar. We took action under Delhi Police Act and filed a Kalandara against him after issuing challan,” said DCP (Southeast) Chinmoy Biswal.
After this incident Aam Aadmi Party’s Atishi put the question mark and tweeted against her BJP rival, “When you don’t know the rules, why play the game?” In a tweet, she wrote, “First, Discrepancies in nomination papers. Then, Criminal offence of having 2 voter IDs.Now, FIR for illegal rally.”
She tweeted that when she gone to Delhi court and put the blame on BJP candidate that he has two voter ID’s form the different places of Delhi.
